For Warren and Anita Ho, Founders of Lani Properties, running a successful real estate business for over 45 years is about much more than just the sale or new management accounts. To them, it’s about family, integrity and building relationships with both clients and tenants that will stand the test of time.

Lani Properties is a full-service real estate company specializing in sales, management, and consulting services. The Lani Properties Team— which includes their daughter and President and Principal Broker, Joylin Ho Shum; and their sons Broker-in-Charge, Clinton Ho and Maintenance Supervisor, Ryan Ho; as well as their other agents and team members— are known for their honesty, expertise and excellent customer service.   

Warren has developed dozens of properties over the years, and Lani Properties currently manages several hundred units on O’ahu.

“One of my philosophies, and something I always tell my clients, is to hold on to your real estate,” says Warren. “Don’t sell!”

Warren’s credentials include a 30-year career in the U.S. Army where he retired as a Colonel. He also served as a past president of the Building Industry Association of Hawaii and on the board of directors for the National Association of Home Builders in Washington, D.C.

Both he and Anita were born and raised on O’ahu, and while their three children were free to pursue other interests, they all chose to come back to the family business.

“Our parents have instilled in us strong values of family, hard work, passion for real estate and the desire to help others,” says Joylin. “Our dad is an inspiration of good work ethics and a great business mind.”

Lani Properties, whose new business comes 80 percent from referrals, provides that extra personal touch in everything they do.

“We manage all the properties we have as if they are our own,” says Joylin. “We often have very long-term relationships with our owners, clients and tenants.” Warren is grateful to his loyal clients and a staff, many of whom have been with Lani Properties for a decade or more.
